Indian IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran has urged Indian companies to be patriotic and register their domain names with .in or .co.in addresses.
By doing so, he follows what Gandhi's great grand-son wishes (see his article India's .IN: Underused and Under Appreciated).
UPDATE: There is something similar in Hong-Kong, with the "We Support Hong Kong. We Use '.hk' Domain Name" web design contest.
