Court orders man to take down Web site aimed at ex-employer

For three years through 2002, Sir Rodgers was a claims adjuster at an insurer known as USAuto Holdings. He bought the firstacceptancecorporation.com domain name in August, a few months after the insurer went public through a springtime merger and became First Acceptance. This firm, which official address is firstacceptancecorp.com, sued him and won. Not because the defendant used this ''unofficial'' Web site as a place for people to learn about what he dubbed bad business and employment practices at First Acceptance Corp - registering a domain name to express a complaint about a trademark owner doesn't violate anti-cybersquatting laws -, but because the defendant tried to sell the domain name.
